About me

 I am Romila! I've been blogging since 2004. 

Started off with Rediff - migrated to Sify, to my own Wordpress domain and now in Blogger. ( I hate the fact I took a break from blogging for 4years but change is good and I like transformations)

You can call me the OG blogger - yes, incredibly exceptional, authentic and old school.

I was and I am still “Thenovemberschild” - a pseudonym I’ve been using since 1996, but today I am a “ A Bowl of Soul Curry” as I said change is good. 

How old am I? I am called a veteran among the blogging communities but I look young and I take that as a compliment. No botox shots or Santoor soap. I am 40 today. 

I am genuinely funny. My humour is very spontaneous. I “like” to be reason behind people’s smiles and happiness.

I love my job (Editor) because I love helping writers grow and take their stories to the next level.

Writers/Poets I love from bottom of my heart - Sadat Hassan Manto, Amrita Pritam, Mirza Ghalib, Gulzar, Dan Brown, Ashwin Sanghi and myself - I am my own favourite.

I sing most of the time especially when I am working, but that doesn’t make me a strong contender at Indian Idol. 

I enjoy music by Jonas Brothers, Savage Garden, Beegees, Marc Anthony, BoneyM, Coldplay, Jennifer Lopez, Maroon 5.

Nick Jonas sings so well, doesn't he? I've been listening to him before he became the famous Mr. Priyanka Chopra.

Writing is breathing for me. I enjoy even writing captions and hashtags for my Instagram posts to 400 pages non fiction books. 

Day cannot end for me without reading. I read one liners to volumes. I don’t miss billboards, store-boards, advertisements on walls, hoardings and anything printed.
